Hi all, recently I discovered an opensource app called freemind
(http://freemind.sourceforge.net/) available for windows, linux, mac,
etc. It's based on the mind-mapping concept where a central idea has
various related ideas linked to them and they can also have sub ideas etc..
Where does rebol fit into this? Heh, well I discovered that the links
you make can have executable links as well as text, images and sounds.
This is great because at work to help me in all my server admin tasks I
have built a mindmap of my daily operations and then all i need to do is
click each item to run predefined tasks.
I have a simple rebol app that remembers all our mail users passwords,
other apps to check log files, and when i'm bored to play tetravex ;)
It took a couple of hours to get a hang of the features available - but
it was definitely worth the effort and as far as organisation of files
goes its great for linking files across many different pc's into one
easy place for reference.
erm.. sorry if this sounded like a second rate viagra spam ad - its
freezing here in NZ today :)
