Hi Norman,

I followed your instructions and did not find a problem.
Here's what I did:

blk: []
loop 50000 [append/only blk copy []]
probe blk

The system performed all the operations in the blink of an
eye without any problems. And I ran it at 300MHz on a P1 with
128MB mem.
