..and personally, I prefer TextPad (when I'm on my Windows machine). It's
not free, but it costs almost nothing. It's so simple my grandmother could
use it, yet very powerful and highly customizable.
On my OpenBSD machine, I use emacs. I find it very illogical to press esc +
zz to quit an editor. Of course, C-x C-c is far more natural, it comes to
your fingers like bumble bees to flowers... uh..
