[ALLY] Latest View under Linux
From: rebol::techscribe::com at: 31-Oct-2000 16:07
Hi guys,
I unzipped the latest /View (0.10.38.4.2 30-Oct-2000) under Linux, renamed it to
rebview (so it can co-exist with /Core and also with vi running in view mode
(which is called view), and moved it to usr/bin. The /usr/bin directory contains
a usr.r file. The new /View binary ignored the existing user.r file, and insisted
that I create a new one, before it was willing to connect to the Internet. Why is
that?
In my user.r file I include the expression
start-view?: off
because I don't want /View to start up in GUI mode. It appears that this is no
longer recognized?
TIA,
Elan
