[REBOL] Multi-colored text in view

Currently REBOL/View doesn't support multi-colored text in edit areas (e.g.,
the "area" style).  Has anyone developed their own style that supports
multi-colored text?  Was it discussed for the next major revision of view
(which, sadly, I'm not expecting to see for a long time)?
