Right! But we have so much further to go. We have some really *great* stuff
that Carl, You, Robert, Gabriele, and others have written which will
undoubtedly be the springboards for many derivative efforts.
As an example, EasyVID defines the content and then defines the rules about
how to process that content. You could easily create a new set of rules to
emit different formats. Maybe one format writes out footnotes, where another
would create a pop-up definition, and yet another creates a hyperlink. A
section
could be an HTML page, a slide in a slide-show, a paragraph, or a
layout. Pretty obvious stuff, this.
The challenge lies in defining the lingua franca, one or more, which are
transparent and flexible, that allow us to produce and transform content
effectively.
