There's a few problems with newsgroups IMO. I don't like bullet
points but I'm in work so...
- Not everyone has newsgroup access at work (ok, so they could use
the mangled googledeja interface, but I haven't noticed many
obvious masochists on this list...)
- Spam. `nuff said.
- May people find email more convenient than newsgroups or web
based forums: they are more interactive, take less effort to
keep up with and any decent reader can thread emails these
days (no idea whether Outlook can, but then I don't class
Outlook as "decent"..)
- We already have a web presence - escribe.com has a constantly
updated archive of rebol messages and rebol.org has an archive
(not sure how often this is updated though..) Searches pick up
these AFAIK.
