First I made a typo-it is set browser/"the path" Second user.r does store your email settings Third, many Rebollers do use Linux but is not the majority Fourth, I would suggest you get/install Altme get it here: http://www.safeworlds.com/download.html that is the main place people are hanging these days including many on Linux when you have it installed,send me a private note with your real name/alias/email address and I will have you added.I use Altme on Mandriva 2006 so see no problem using on Ubuntu
