I agree with Robert. For example, I'm assessing REBOL's capabilities in a business enterprise context exactly because I need something completely different from the ActiveX/Java development paradigm. If I need to use ActiveX or Java, experience tells me it's better to stick with their dedicated development environments and tools, for better or (more often) worse.
