I haven't checked that, but I got a nice speedup by creating bitmaps of the CGTimes and CGTriumvirate fonts which are used by default, all the way from 1 to 40 pixels, to cover any strange occurrance. :9 Bullet.library certainly does take its time in creating the bitmaps, so not allowing it to do so on the fly, makes for one hell of a difference. If somebody could remind me on how to change which fonts are used by default, it would be very helpful by the way. The truetype engine is not only faster, but it also produce better looking results than the compugraphics one and it would mean one could switch to the same fonts View on other platforms use.
