[REBOL] Re: OLPC = The Children's Machine << Where Rebol belongs ???
From: rasmussen::bryan::gmail::com at: 17-Mar-2007 9:05
drawbacks of Rebol for OLPC:
1. unicode. I haven't worked with Rebol in years though I still follow
the list in case there is anything that makes me want to take it back
up, but I don't recall seeing that Rebol had added unicode support?
Despite complaints Python actually has some pretty good libraries for
Unicode.
benefits of Rebol:
1. since it is a first class language all the language constructs
could essentially be rewritten for major languages in various
countries areas. Probably a lot of the children that will get this
product will not speak English.
