[REBOL] Re: Tutorial with Images

From: swhite:ci:bloomington:mn:us at: 29-Apr-2008 10:41

Thank you. I read the first version some years ago and found it very helpful. I am looking forward to reading the updated version. I always found REBOL extremely difficult for some reason. I think the reason was that I kept looking for things that I assumed had to be there (key words, punctuation, data declarations) and when I couldn't find them I had no idea what I was looking at. Documentation for a normal person (or perhaps a person mentally mutilated by years of other programming languages) is a very valuable service. Hi everyone :) I added 337 screen shot images to the tutorial at: There's also a .pdf version (469 pages): The makedoc text file is here: I left a copy without images at: Links to all 68 YouTube videos are here: I'll continue to maintain the concise version of the tutorial, without any images, here: The "Rebol for Kids" program is at: An old .exe version of the original tutorial is here: And downloadable examples from the tutorial, in .exe format, are here: Hopefully, the new images will make the tutorial a bit more friendly and interesting to look at :) Please let me know if you have any questions, corrections, etc. Thanks! - Nick Antonaccio
