Well I found my problem. Nothing to do with the script. It is me.
I have this genetic defect inherent in most Geeks --- DoubleClickitis.
When you doubleclick a program in the Rebol Desktop, you get 2 copies.
It might be nice if single/double click was settable in the desktop.
