I have "Understanding Comics", and you're right, it's very good. (Note for those who don't know it: It's about understanding the way comics work - how they flow, why they're broken up on a page in a certain way and so forth, and not about understanding the stories in comics.)

Many thanks for the links. Those interested in GUI or website design should check out the second one. Plenty there to make you think even if you're not interested in comics.
