Yes! I think that is consistent with why Carl moved from make-spec.r to make-doc.r .... the ability to publish to different formats from a single source. Today I did something along these lines by adding the ability to my version of easy-vid.r to emit an arrow image. In the VID Usage tutorial I had copied in some of Carl's presentation bullets and arrows and I think they present very well. I was thinking that this will look good so that the easy-vid.r can be used for presentations. ..... but the single source approach of make-doc to emit easy-vid makes more sense.
