While /COMMAND was simmering no one wanted to work on other DBMS connections (like say hooking up to MySQL via TCP). Likewise with the pre-announcement /EXPRESS, independant developer's aren't going to want to work on something like that either. I'm sure that is not the intention, but it is the effect.
