Thanks Brett!
I hope what will make it really impressive is the scripts that we all submit.
The Script Library has been, since it started, an excellent repository of
good REBOL scripts and practices. I hope what we've added to the Library in
functionality will encourage all of us to add scripts that will build it into one
of the key places on the Web for publishing and discussing scripts.
With the new features, you don't just need to publish a bare script. Each
script can also have documentation (in MDP or eText or plain ascii format). They
can also have a discussion thread for questions, enhancement suggestions or
(in rare cases!) bug reports.
There have been very many excellent scripts and snippets published on this
mailing list over the years. Why not take a few moments to dig out some of your
submissions and give them a permanent home in the Script Library? And I don;t
just mean Brett!
Apologies to anyone who had trouble in the first day or so of the new
release. We'd tested pretty thoroughly, but the live environment (different version
of Core, different version of a web server) uncovered some behavioural changes
that set things spinning. I think we've fixed all the problems.
Thanks to everyone who reported problems or asked for more features. Keep the
requests coming, and we'll try to keep up,
In case anyone missed the announcement: there's lots of new things to play
with at
