[REBOL] Linux problem

I've just installed View on Mandrake Linux and while it runs okay, I
can't get a console with it, just the Desktop.  (Using KDE.)
Clicking on the console icon on the Desktop just closes View down.
Any suggestions?  (I'm new to Linux.)
