[REBOL] CORE only on RS6000
From: steven::white::ci::bloomington::mn::us at: 7-Nov-2002 15:24
On a Windows desktop, one can run a script that uses
only CORE functions, with something like
rebol --nowindow --script <script-name>
and it works fine.
When I try to run it under AIX on an RS6000, it will not run
because it wants to connect to an X server program and I
don't want to start an X server program (because I want to
run the script overnight with "cron" and don't want to leave
my desktop computer (with an X server) running).
Is it possible to run Rebol VIEW with some switch or parameter
so that it will run CORE only and not try to display anything?
I know I could download and install CORE only for the RS6000,
but the highest level available for the RS6000 seems to be 2.3,
and when I try my script under CORE 2.3 on the RS6000 it
fails to work for other reasons. Rebol VIEW for the RS6000 has
CORE 2.5 in it.
Thank you.
