So how can we find the names of the unknown REBOLers at the conference?
There are faces in the crowd I have no idea of...
like who was the person with the plane pilot's hat on?
Tomc

wait, there was a real Alitalia pilot; the first day he arrived directly
from the airport with his uniform. his name is Paolo Marciante.
you can see him in this photo: http://www.rebol.net/devcon/2005/photos/pages/dsc03032.html
(foreground, Victor Pavlov; background, Paolo Marciante)
the one on the right here is Romano: http://www.rebol.net/devcon/2005/photos/pages/img_1976.html
this is Will Arp: http://www.rebol.net/devcon/2005/photos/pages/pict3763.html

and do you have the picture of Nick? (good way to introduce me to
their faces...:-)
It is Will Arp I was wondering about. Is he German?

Will is his alias name, not his real life name.
I will let him disclose more if he desires.

Yes, Swiss...
Is there a way to get all the pictures as a Zip?

And did I ever upload all my pics form the conf? I have been so
busy I don't remember.

reichart: i don't think you did. you said you were working on your
own website for them, or something like that.
[unknown: 9]
18-Oct-2005
[2545]
OK. Yes, I am still working on my own, and yes, I will upload a
Zip for you soon. Can I get a zip of yours?
Gabriele
18-Oct-2005
[2546x3]
sure, let me build it for you.
http://www.rebol.net/devcon/2005/photos/photos.tar.gz(506MB)
(if you upload yours with the upload script on that page, we get
the thumbnails automatically too.)
[unknown: 9]

[2549]
Do I need to upload it as a tar.gz?
Gabriele
19-Oct-2005
[2550x2]
with the upload script, just select all the images, and it will take
care of uploading them.
otherwise, zip or tar are ok for me (but i need to generate the thumbs
manually)

I have a LOT of pictures. So will prob send you a zip.
Gabriele

zip is not going to make jpgs smaller ;)
Pekr

[2554]
:-) surely not, I would say the archive will be even bigger :-)

However, it is commonly used as a way to pack things into one archive.
Even though the individual items are already compressed.
Gabriele

what i mean is that it won't be any easier/faster than using the
script (which will save me figuring out how to make the thumbs from
the zip file ;)
but... i guess that wouldn't be hard, so it's no problem anyway.

gabriele - to get data from .zip, use zip:// scheme .... ah, we don't
have any, sorry :-)
